The World Road Congress has been held every four years for more than 100 years. Since the first meeting in Paris in 1908, it has toured the member countries of the non-government organization, Permanent International Association of Road Congresses (PIARC). The World Road Congress provides a venue where agencies, organizations, and decision-makers related to roads and road transportation from different countries around the world can meet to introduce a variety of research results and best practices. It is also a forum for sharing information among nations and regions, strengthening cooperation and bonding, defining each party's role, and building a cooperative system to solve various road transportation problems.
Today, the World Road Congress is the most authoritative international event in the area of roads and road transportation. It continues to evolve to connect different cultures and contribute to the sustainable growth of the road transportation industry.
The XXVth World Road Congress in Seoul in 2015 will add to the event's rich history with the introduction of research results and best practices covering almost all areas of road transportation including the PIARC's new four strategic themes:
-
Management and Performance,
-
Access and Mobility,
-
Safety,
-
Infrastructure.
It will undoubtedly serve as the stage for creating new future values in the road transportation industry by gathering interested parties in various road transportation areas to discuss advanced technologies and different countries' cases, to build a cooperative system, and to share information.
We invite you to the XXVth World Road Congress to be held at the COEX Convention Center in Seoul, Korea from November 2 to 6, 2015. The event will feature various programs and serve as a venue for experts in the road transportation industry from around the world to share technologies and cultures.
